How the process works

Confirming the purpose
Scope and output format depend on what the survey is for, so we establish that first.

Surveying the structure
We survey the actual position, dimensions and levels, including how the building meets the surrounding ground.

Comparison against the design
Where design documentation is available, we compare it with what we found and document the differences.

Preparing the output
We produce as-built documentation, and a geometric plan as well if the building is to be registered.

- Digital output in PDF and in an agreed drawing format.
- A comparison against the approved design, where it was provided.
What affects the price
- The size and complexity of the structure.
- The number of storeys and the extent of what is surveyed.
- Access to individual parts of the building.
- How detailed a comparison against the design is required.
